One pound and five shillings is one of our most cherished ideas of this website because it’s about bringing together visionaries, and deep thinkers. We imagine this space to be filled with lots of cool stuff from collaborators; thought-provoking visions, solution-based action-plans and infinite ideas.

The core principle of this space is reciprocal gifting; the knowledge imparted to us as collaborators, is the knowledge we are responsible to impart back to our communities (who’s invisible sacrifices are sometimes not mentioned). As collaborators, we attempt to do this through creative writing and opinion pieces.

The one pound and five shillings title of this category was inspired by the Fijian Nuclear Veterans who received this amount as standard pay while serving in Kiritimati Island and Malden Island during Britain’s Nuclear Testing between 1957 and 1962. In the face of geopolitics where our ocean of peace is being tested by global power-grab, we as stakeholders bore the brunt of one pound and five shillings. Hence, we assert the importance of creative writing and opinion pieces to reflect the times we are living in; and encourage more collaborators to come forward.

Again, welcome to the Creative and Opinion pieces section where we'll connect with deep thinkers and visionaries of today, and if you would like to write a piece, reach out and let’s get it out there.
