I wrote this poem in 2024, and it is for many of us who understands the language of the secret place as opposed to the scared place. What's scared is in the secret, and that's where many of us spend our time when the world is asleep.

I weaved this place in my heart where i can be

A place where my shame has a name

A place where my deepest fears has a pillow

A place where my spirit can float in a sea of forgiveness

A place where my self-destructive thoughts are met with big bear hugs

A place where all my contradictions are welcomed with audacious grace

A place where nobody can touch, not even the looters on the run

A place where the me, i like, and the me, i don't like, can dance for a minute; a little two step here and two step there.

A place where my dreams for the future are met with endless possibilities

A place where i dream big, i dream small, i dream anyway

I love you to love your secret place

Spend time together

Spend time apart

Spend time anyway, with you and your secret place
